Speakers Bureau

MAC Speakers Bureau is accepting submissions to host an educational workshop for 2020. The Speakers Bureau page has further information about the program, including details on the host institution's responsibilities. Workshops provided through the Speakers Bureau support continuing education opportunities across the Midwest at minimal cost.

If interested in submitting a MAC Workshop Host Institution Interest Form, the procedures have changed this year. Requests to host events for the upcoming year will be accepted until December 1. Schedule prioritization will be given to groups that have not hosted another Speaker's Bureau event in the 3 years prior. Potential host institutions will be notified in January 2020 whether or not their request will be funded.

Here is a list of
Workshop Proposals that hosts may choose from.

If you have any questions, please contact Speakers Bureau Coordinators Brad Houston or Kathryn Kuntz.

Upcoming Meetings in 2020

The Midwest Archives Conference will hold its 2020 Annual Meeting May 6-9, 2020 in Des Moines, Iowa. An election year presents a year for choice in leadership, but it is also about the power of decisions. Who makes them, where they are made, when they are made, and most importantly what decisions do you make as an archivist. More information about registration and hotel rooms will be available soon.

MAC will return to Indianapolis for the 2020 Fall Symposium with a special focus on outreach and archives. The Symposium will be held in conjunction with the Society of Indiana Archivists (although anyone can attend!).
