Proposed Membership Changes

On February 3, 2025, MAC Council voted to bring to the membership the Reimagining MAC Task Force recommendations for new membership tiers. These will begin with the 2026 membership campaign. With these new membership tiers, MAC will better serve our current members, attract new members, and create more financial sustainability for the organization. MAC members will be asked to vote on these changes at the MAC Members’ Meeting held at the 2025 Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN, on Friday, April 11, 2025. For more information on the new tiers and rates, please see here.

Archie Motley Memorial Scholarship Applications Solicited

MAC is soliciting applications for the 2025 Archie Motley Memorial Scholarship for Students of Color (http://www.midwestarchives.org/motley). The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students of color pursuing graduate education in archival administration and to encourage ethnic diversification of the MAC membership and of the archival profession. Two $1,500 scholarships, accompanied by one-year memberships to MAC, will be awarded. Applications must be emailed by March 1, 2025. Awards will be announced no later than June 3, 2025.

Call for Nominations: MAC Presidents' Award and Distinguished Service Award

Do you know of an individual, institution, or organization not directly involved in archival work but aware of its purpose and value? Recipients are chosen by a committee comprising the three most recent past presidents of MAC and two at-large members.
